Employment dispute (also known as labor dispute) is a controversy between an employer and its employees regarding the terms (such as conditions of employment, fringe benefits, hours or work, tenure, wages) to be negotiated during collective bargaining, or the implementation of already agreed upon terms. As experienced China employment dispute lawyer, we handled an employment dispute recently.

The case is between an American employee based in China and his employer I*M Shenzhen office, a world famous technology company.

It's about severance pay, which is the center of the dispute. As in other termination of employment case, employer always reluctant to pay sufficient severance pay under Chinese law, while the employees are always unhappy with what on offer upon termination.

Finally a termination agreement was reached and both parties are happy with the result. There are much negotiation during this period and it's not easy. Fortunately we have great experience in this area and we are able to convince both parties the settlement plan we proposed are the best solution to the controversy.
